The Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Reverse '60s Tele Custom Heavy Relic has an Alder Body, Large "C" Quartersawn Maple Neck, Rosewood Fingerboard, 7.25" to 9.5" Vintage Compound Radius, Reverse Angle Nocaster Bridge, Custom Shop Hand-Wound Loaded '51 Nocaster Bridge Pickup, Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1N Humbucker Neck Pickup, Incl. Case & COA.

An alternate Fender concept of a mid-1960s Telecaster Custom, combined with some non-traditional elements aimed at players who crave a wider tonal palette than a traditional vintage Tele offers. The most obvious pointer is the reverse-angle bridge pickup which on a normal Telecaster, the bridge pickup is slanted so the treble strings sit closer to the bridge which on this particular model, the angle is reversed.

This changes the character:

  • Treble strings become slightly fuller, less brittle.
  • Bass strings gain more grit and character.
  • Distorted tones become fuller and more balanced.
  • It moves the guitar slightly away from the classic country Tele ranch and closer to the rock and blues of Sunset Strip.

Another major feature is the HS pickup configuration:

  • Bridge: Custom Shop hand-wound Loaded '51 Nocaster single coil.
  • Neck: Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1N humbucker.

This pickup relationship offers:

  • Authentic Tele twang at the bridge,
  • Warm PAF-style neck sounds,
  • Strong middle-position tones for blues and classic rock.

The Large C neck is noticeably fuller than a modern American Professional Tele neck but not quite as consuming as some early-'50s "baseball bat" profiles.

The compound radius is a useful upgrade too:

  • 7.25" feel in lower positions retains vintage comfort for chords.
  • Flatter 9.5" upper register makes bends easier.

The Heavy Relic finish means the neck feels nicely broken-in immediately, a Custom Shop buyers essential.

UK Delivery (Mainland & Non-Extended Areas): Free next-day service as standard on all guitars. Saturday delivery options are also available. Please contact us if you wish to specify a particular delivery date.

International Delivery: Worldwide shipping prices are calculated dynamically at checkout. Shipments are fully insured and tracked via our premium courier partners (UPS & DHL). Please note that local customs duties and taxes will be payable upon delivery.

For solid colours or standard opaque finishes under £2000, we may use an exact model library example.

Don’t fancy waiting around at home for a courier to deliver your new gear? If you are within driving distance of our historic Farnham store, simply select “Collect from store” at checkout and pay securely online. Just pop into the shop with your proof of purchase and a valid photo ID (driving license or passport), and you can take your new guitar away right then and there!

Important Note for Finance Customers: Due to strict fraud prevention and security checks required by our finance provider, orders placed using V12 Retail Finance are not eligible for Click & Collect. All finance orders must be shipped directly to the verified residential address provided on your credit application.

Ex Demo & New Old Stock Products

Occasionally we feature items marked as ‘Ex-Demo’ or ‘New Old Stock’.
