Low Frequency Classic Passive LC Equalisation can be heard and was used on so many great legendary recordings. This very musical sounding technique is now utilised and available in the Dottore XFM as a matched pair of very flexible and useful EQ studio tools. This technique can be thought of as a feed forward process that works very well on unsymmetrical music waveforms that occur from many acoustic instruments and of course vocals. Music almost by definition is not comprised of symmetrical repetitive waveforms and therefore does not always respond optimally to a feedback type of processing whether it is by using conventional hardware or software solutions.
The latest recent developments in components, magnetic materials and low noise techniques have been incorporated in this new design that has been receiving rave reviews from our Producer friends who have been using the Dottore XFM on some important new releases. Recordings at Rockfield Studios and RAK Studios in the UK receiving critical acclaim.
The Dottore XFM also excels in Bypass Mode as a solution to integrating unbalanced equipment into a DAW system without signal level loss. This issue occurs primarily when utilising hardware inserts which can cause a signal loss of up to 6dB when not being driven from a balanced source. So we are bringing to the table and pioneering a new evolution of a tried and tested technique all wrapped up in a convenient compact unit to help solve many of todays recording problems.
