National was not only a pioneer of acoustic-amplification with its resonator guitars, but also one of the first to offer electric guitars and amplifiers. Our latest amp is a faithful re-creation of one of National’s famous tube amps from the late 1940s — faithful in both vintage styling and that special classic sound. The 5-watt class-A No. 500 offers a thick, fat tone that’s near impossible to find among current amplifiers. Based on a classic lineup of a 6SL7 octal-tube preamp, 6V6S power stage, and 5Y3GT rectifier, our circuit delivers beautiful clean headroom at lower volumes and fine-grained breakup when the dial is turned up. The presence/boost switch adds a fullness to the sound at lower volumes, but can drive the amp into creamy, bluesy distortion at higher levels. Above all, the No. 500 amp is one of the most responsive, touch-sensitive, and expressive amps you will find. And then as now, it’s hand-wired, point-to-point circuitry for optimal sound quality and long-lasting reliability — just like the vintage originals. This small amp makes for an ideal recording amp or practice companion, and yet still has the power to perform well in smaller venues.

Delivery

Any order placed before 2pm (Mon-Fri) will be despatched that same day. We ship worldwide, fully tracked and insured, and you can follow your shipment online every step of the way.

UK Delivery (mainland and non-extended areas): Free, next day service as standard on all guitars. Saturday delivery services also available. Please contact us if you wish to specify a particular delivery date.

Non-UK Delivery: Worldwide shipping prices are calculated at the checkout. Fully insured and tracked via UPS. Please note; customs and duty charges will be payable on delivery.

No hassle returns

We know how much of a gamble it can be purchasing a guitar online without trying it first. That’s why if you receive your order and it’s not as you expected, let us know within 14 working days and we will have it collected by UPS.

Once back we will refund (minus restocking charge) or exchange the item if preferred. Online purchases only.

Fully setup & triple checked quality control

We have in-house guitar technicians here at Guitar Village, so that means all guitars in stock are constantly checked and maintained for optimum playability.

As soon as a guitar is sold it will be fully set-up to ensure it is playing great right out of the box. It will then go through an inspection checklist and is checked again for quality and playability by two more members of staff. Let us know any preferred setup requirements and we will be happy to oblige!

Guarantee

All new products come with a 12 month warranty as standard. Some products will come with an extended manufacturer’s warranty - these will be included with the product and will usually need to be activated after purchase via the manufacturer’s website. Ex Demo products will also come with a 12 month warranty. Pre-owned products come with a 3 month warranty.

Real time stock levels

Fed up with websites advertising guitar that they don’t actually have? So are we! The Guitar Village website is updated in real-time, so that means the second we sell out of a guitar the website will say ‘out of stock’. If it says ‘In Stock’, rest assured we do actually have it in stock and ready to go!

We don’t want you to have any nasty surprises when you receive a guitar from us so we do our own photography in-house.

Any high-end guitar with a figured finish or unique features will have its own images. If you see “✓ Actual product in photograph(s)” next to the product listing, this will be the actual item you receive.

Any guitar priced under £2000 with an opaque/block finish, or lightly figured woods may have an example image of the guitar.

Don’t fancy the painful wait at home for the courier to deliver your new toy?

If you’re not a million miles away not come in and collect it from the shop? All you need to do it select “Collect from store” at the checkout, pay in full online then pop in with proof of purchase, along with some photo ID* and you can take it away right then and there!

*Photo ID must be a valid passport or driving license.

Ex Demo/New Old Stock Products

Occasionally we list items as ‘Ex Demo’ or ‘New Old Stock’. These are new but may not necessarily be in perfect condition and could have had minor repairs, marks, scratches and/or other defects.

These will be fully described and discounted accordingly.
