The Atkin Dustbowl O12s has a Mahogany Top, Mahogany Back & Sides, Mahogany Neck, Indian Rosewood Fingerboard & Bridge, Open Gear Tuners, Incl. Hard Case.
The Dust Bowl series from Atkin takes “vintage-inspired” to the next level. The main inspiration for these guitars are the lightweight, characterful depression-era guitars of the 1930s - names such as Kalamazoo, Recording King, Cromwell, and Kel Kroyden will spring to mind for fans of such instruments. Each Dust Bowl guitar is made from solid mahogany with a lightweight scalloped bracing, giving the player a full, rich and dry voice that embodies those ever sought-after pre-war tones.
The O12 from Atkin is your classic parlour guitar. Lightweight, compact with 12 frets to the body, and a classic Martin scale length of 24.9” make this the perfect guitar for ragtime picking, classical arrangements and delicate fingerstyle noodling alike. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is just a replica, however: this is a modern guitar capable of navigating the demands of the contemporary musician. A subtle-V neck adds maximum vintage feel without feeling cumbersome, and the balance and articulation across the tonal spectrum, mean this guitar would not sound out of place in a modern ensemble.
