Paul Reed Smith‘s McCarty 594 made such an impression when it was first released as a Private Stock model in early 2016 that it was soon developed as a core model. And what a success it’s been!
PRS’s “vintage-inspired” masterpiece has captured the imagination of many guitarists with its focus on recreating that “Holy Grail” ’59 Burst tone and feel but in a modern, reliable double-cut guitar.
This PRS Limited Edition Wood Library McCarty 594 Satin is the same as the core model but with some tasty upgrades: a “10 top” flame maple top, all-over satin finish, ebony fingerboard, and Autumn Sky finish.
This PRS sounds incredible with ringing sustain and a response that suits everything from soft fingerstyle playing through to heavy picking. The satin finish really lets the woods resonate bringing out an impressive dynamic range. Despite having a deeper body that most PRS models it feels surprising lightweight and well balanced. The neck is comfortable and will make you want to play for hours on end. Overall, an extremely satisfying playing experience. Then, when you’re done playing it, you get to sit back and admire it!
