As many of you will already know, living legend, six-string sorcerer and all round good guy Eric Johnson visited the Village on 6th August…

In the modest comfort (OK, opulent splendour!) of our high end room, Eric effortlessly coaxed fluid lead lines and rootsy riffs through our hand-wired Cornell Romany 12 Reverb and a selection of Roger Mayer’s unique UK made analogue stompboxes.

But did you spot the guitar he was playing?

Weighing just 6.16lbs, this guitar sports a Paulownia body, a select tonewood known for its light weight and resonant properties, with playability enhanced by a 9.5″ radius Rosewood board and rounded C-shape Maple neck, all adding to this guitar’s premium feel.

The 63 S utilises three Kauffmann SOW single coils complemented by master volume and tone, plus a rotary blend pot which enables bridge and neck pickups in series, enabling a fatter lead tone which still retains this guitar’s natural dynamics.
