600 Series: Introducing the new sound of maple: warm, rich and versatile.
Following the release of the brand new revised Taylor 614ce at NAMM 2015, Taylor have followed suit with the introduction of the fresh new GC (grand concert) sized bodied guitars. As with the latest 614ce, these new 600 series have been completely re-voiced and Taylor have changed everything you thought you knew about maple as a tonewood. Now richer, warmer and more complex, adding extra depth to the Grand Concert body’s natural clarity and top-end chime. A hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s striking figure a beautiful darker violin-hued make-over.
Full features include: Grand Concert body, figured maple back/sides, torrefied Sitka spruce top, hard rock maple neck, 600 Series Advanced Performance bracing with protein glue, ebony binding with grained ivoroid body purfling, paua rosette edged in ebony and grained ivoroid, grained ivoroid Wings fretboard inlay, inlaid ebony backstrap, hand-rubbed Brown Sugar stain (back/sides) with gloss 3.5 finish (full body), striped ebony pickguard, Taylor nickel tuners (slothead tuners for 12-Fret), Venetian cutaway, and Expression System® 2 pickup. Ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.

900 Series: Taylor’s top class of rosewood guitars showcases the highest levels of guitar craftsmanship
It’s not only the 600 series that have benefited from shiny new upgrades, Taylor have been working hard at improving the already awesome high-end 900 series. Each of these guitars will now come with a stunning Ebony armrest, along with Ebony binding and backstrap. Koa purfling now frames the premium Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back & sides, as well as the Ebony fingerboard, peghead and backstrip. Koa & Ebony now compliment the new Paua Abalone rosette, and a combination of unique pink Abalone & Mother-of-Pearl fingerboard inlays really give this new masterpiece the wow factor.
All models feature the same package of tone-enhancing refinements introduced on the 800 Series: customized bracing and wood thicknesses for each body shape; protein glues for the bracing and bridge; thin (3.5 mil) gloss finish; Elixir HD Light strings on Grand Auditorium models. Both models feature a Venetian cutaway, ES2 electronics, and ship in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
